Goli breg, i.e. Naked hill, is the name of the hill where some of our vineyards are situated.
Ribolla, Malvazija, Zelen, Riesling Italico (Welschriesling). The grapes are hand-picked from a single organically cultivated terraced vineyard, where all the varieties are planted together. In combination with a marly, sea sediment-rich soil and the Bora wind, this wine is a true expression of the terroir of the Vipava Hills. The wine has a gentle golden yellow color.
The bouquet is pronounced, slightly ripe, and balsamic, with notes of resin, pine, butter, yeast, complemented by a pleasant background of fruity aromas, such as dried apricots and raisins.

With wine, we enjoy, reflect, celebrate, and remember. The history that has shaped our family and our land is woven into Fedora’s stories. True, condensed, or imagined? You decide. Each wine tells its own.
A long time ago, a man with one leg shorter than the other lived in the village. You could hear the sound of his dragging leg long before he came by your house. People felt uncomfortable meeting him and would hide every time they heard him approaching . But one autumn was ripe for a change. At the annual wine competition in which the whole valley participated, a mysterious wine was declared winner. To everyone’s astonishment it was the limping man’s sweet grape nectar. In the following days, the surprised villagers secretly followed him and were taken aback once again. They discovered the limping man had a secret vineyard on a rugged steep hill which could only be tamed by him thanks to his shorter leg. From that day on, respect for the mysterious winemaker grew and people greeted him, tipping their hats. In his honor we named one of our wines Goli breg.
Fedora.
